About Us

In January 2026, AFD China and Changjiang River Charity Foundation Joined Hands Again to “Let Swans Fly”

In 2025, AFD China continued to collaborate with Changjiang River Charity Foundation to delve deeply into the “Let Swans Fly” charitable project. By providing financial aid with love, it lays a solid foundation for the educational growth of migrant children in cities and underprivileged children in rural areas, promoting the upgrading and expansion of the project and delivering heartwarming results on the path of educational assistance.

The sustained loving support provides a solid guarantee for the steady development of Yanjing Little Swan Public Welfare School. Throughout the year, the school has successfully completed the teaching plans for all grades, with all sixth-grade graduates achieving compliant transitions to higher levels of education. At the same time, they have expanded quality education resources such as public-welfare practices and popular science research trips, enabling migrant children to broaden their horizons, enhance their comprehensive qualities, and pursue their studies with peace of mind amidst care and concern.

Relying on everyone’s kindness and support, the rural teaching program in Henan Province has achieved leapfrog development, and an integrated support system for primary–junior high transition is beginning to take shape. The project not only continues to provide 15 rural primary schools with stable access to high-quality technology education such as programming, but also works with top secondary schools like Zhumadian No.18 Middle School and Xinyang No.9 Middle School to offer outstanding but financially disadvantaged students the chance to receive a quality junior high school education. Some students have been admitted to specialized classes thanks to their strengths in programming, helping rural children move from merely completing compulsory education toward accessing better pathways for further study.

With love as its driving force, the project’s achievements in programming education reached new heights. In 2025, rural students were organized to participate in the National Youth Information Literacy Competition, where 12 students from village primary schools advanced to the national finals and 7 of them won national awards, with lower-grade students earning award recognition for the first time. This has fully tapped into the technological potential of rural children and allowed the light of science and technology to illuminate their path of learning in the countryside.

Over the years, we have consistently fulfilled our social responsibilities through concrete actions. By providing financial and material support, we have purchased school supplies and teaching equipment for children, subsidized the expenses of volunteer teachers, and enabled children in difficult circumstances to pursue their dreams without worries. In 2025, this compassion further drove the project to upgrade from basic assistance to all-stage growth companionship.

Looking ahead, AFD China will continue to collaborate on the “Let Swans Fly” project, persistently transmitting the power of love. We will help improve the support system bridging primary and junior high school education, attract more social forces to join in, and build bridges to dreams for more children in need with love, so that every "little swan" can spread its wings and soar high.
