Education is the spark that ignites hope, and love is the bridge that spans mountains and seas. In 2025, AFD China once again joined hands with the Capital Intellectual Property Services Association to participate in the "Light Up Wisdom" education assistance project. Through eight consecutive years of dedication and effort, it has brought warmth and support to disadvantaged students in remote areas of Xingwen County, Sichuan Province, fulfilling corporate social responsibility with practical actions and allowing the light of public welfare to illuminate the educational paths of more children.
Since participating in the "Light Up Wisdom" education assistance project, we have been caring about the disadvantaged students in the county, making it a key focus of our corporate public welfare efforts to promote educational equity and assist students in need in remote areas. Over the past eight years, our firm has never ceased the support for students in the county. From the initial compassionate response to the current long-term commitment, this warm force has continued unabated. In 2024, among the 90 children proposed for assistance, AFD China continued to sponsor the 7 students whom it had been helping for five consecutive years, safeguarding these children's growth with long-lasting companionship. In 2025, our firm once again took up the baton of love, actively responding to the Association's call for contributions and claiming sponsorship spots for disadvantaged students in Xingwen County, addressing the practical academic and life challenges faced by the children through sustained investment.
Throughout our sponsorship efforts, we have always placed great emphasis on ensuring that love and care translate into tangible and effective results. The funds for this program will be distributed directly to the students—either in cash or via bank transfer—through Xingwen County’s Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, ensuring that every donation truly benefits the children in need. Meanwhile, our firm is legally entitled to obtain charitable donation receipts which can be used for pre-tax deduction of corporate income tax, making our philanthropic efforts more compliant and sustainable. In addition, our firm will actively exercise supervisory rights, closely tracking how the funds are used and cooperating with the Association to provide follow-up feedback, so that every act of kindness is effectively implemented and truly impactful.
Eight years have passed, yet our original aspiration remains steadfast. From one charitable donation after another to eight years of unwavering dedication, our journey in public service has never ceased. This persistence has not only provided financial support to disadvantaged students in Xingwen County but also planted seeds of hope and warmth in their hearts—reminding them that, in a distant city, there are people who quietly care about their growth and serve as their strongest support along the path of education. The children’s longing for knowledge and resilience in the face of hardship continue to inspire us to stay true to our mission and remain devoted to education-focused philanthropy.

In the future, AFD China will continue to adhere to its original intention of public welfare and persist with the "Light Up Wisdom" education assistance project, providing long-term companionship and sustained support to safeguard the journey of more disadvantaged students in remote areas. Meanwhile, AFD China also hopes that its own actions will inspire more social forces to pay attention to education in remote areas and join efforts to support students in need.
