Patent Indication Marking Measures Takes Effect as of May 1, 2012

On March 8, 2012, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) issued Decree No.63, 2012, where the Patent Indication Marking Measures will take effect as of May 1, 2012.

The Measures further stipulate the operation in accordance with Article 17 of the Patent Law, which provides that a patentee has the right to use patent marking and to indicate the number of the patent on the patented product or on the packaging of that product.
