In February 2020, AFD China launched a new round of fund-raising activities for the 4-year-long Phoenix Public Welfare Program. All the funds raised will be used to fund the rehabilitation, living and accommodation expenses of cerebral palsy children under the public welfare program for the whole year of 2020. All donations were made in the name of donor individuals and were handed over to the Changjiang Foundation for Poverty Alleviation through Science and Technology in February 2020. A total of 63 loving colleagues supported this donation activity.

In 2019, AFD China, together with the Yangtze River Science and Technology Poverty Alleviation Foundation, funded the living, treatment and rehabilitation expenses of ZhuangZhuang for one year through the Phoenix Public Welfare Plan. This is the second child that we have specially funded in the past four years. Seeing him gradually recovering from his illness and becoming more cheerful, all colleagues who paid attention to him were very happy. Although the treatment process is long, we believe with our and the teachers' supports, he will be able to come back to real social life in the future.

We have always believed that love and care are far more precious than money. In order to convey everyone's best wishes, we launched the "Love Sticker Campaign" upon the donation, so that donors could write their warm messages on a sticker and stick them on the heart-shaped background. We brought all these blessings to the rehabilitation center and to the children, so that the handicapped children can feel the care. We also visited ZhuangZhuang and his mother, and also expressed our heartfelt wishes to them. From this visit, we not only felt the deeply relationship between mother and child, but also the big love from the teachers of the rehabilitation center, who truly act like another parent of the children, working day and night with patience, cares and soft hearts to show beauty in daily life.

The greatest significance of charity lies in providing an opportunity, an opportunity to remove obstacles, so that handicapped people can participate in social life fairly without discrimination or restriction.

Here, we call on more people to devote their efforts to children to let the new generation understand the meaning of companionship and the true meaning of gratitude. Let them learn self-esteem and self-love through company, explore the road of future life and find their own position.
