In April 2015, AFD China funded Tongyousanhe Traditional Chinese Medical Science Development Foundation to support the development of traditional Chinese medicine.

On April 7, 2015, AFD China donated to the Tongyousanhe Foundation for Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The foundation aims at spreading Chinese culture, particularly traditional Chinese medical science, with the fundamental commitment to public welfare. The people of the foundation are volunteers who devote their energy to traditional culture and Chinese medical industry. The foundation takes inheriting Chinese culture and traditional Chinese medical care with Tao orthodoxy as its mission, striving to find talents, train personnel, promote research, and raise public awareness and popularize knowledge in the relevant disciplines.

The money AFD China donated will be used to support the Foundation’s operation with broader and deeper angles, and so to contribute to the traditional Chinese medical science.
