Many a little make a mickle. So applies to charity. Taking a first step is not easy, persevering with it is even more invaluable. Since 2018, AFD China has been actively participating in the Capital Intellectual Property Services Association's campaign to provide annual study and living funds to school-age children in Xingwen County, hoping to help even one more child with our modest efforts.

 In 2020, 66 children will be sponsored by the association, most of them are from families with financial difficulties - one or more parents have passed away, elder family members are physically handicapped, or they are eligible for national poverty alleviation projects. We prioritized our funds to those children who are about to graduate and will soon be the supporter of their families. We hope that they can find their own direction in life and support the future life of their families under pressure with our help. Of course, our supports also go for the young children who are at the age for elementary education, bearing in mind that going to school and embracing the world of knowledge can expand one’s horizon. We would be more than happy to assist them to come out of the rural mountains and into the wider world, and carefully protect their dreams.

 This year, we continued to fund the study and living expenses of the 11 children that we helped in 2019, hoping that our small actions can bring them great possibilities.

 “If the child does not learn, this is not as it should be; if he does not learn while young, what he will be when old?” This old Chinese saying tells us that learning should accompany one's whole life and should be encouraged. We hope to help the children remove the shackles and restraints, so that they can have the same opportunities and possibilities for education as their peer in cities.

 As a way of fulfilling our social responsibility as a company, we will continue paying attention to children in needs. We welcome people to join us and share your love.
